报告摘要：

   In this paper, we investigate the maximal rank and minimal rank of some matrix expressions. By applying the canonical correlation decomposition of matrix pairs (CCD),the generalized singular value decomposition (QQ-SVD) etc, we obtain the extremal ranks of some matrix expressions .As applications, we give some methods to choose matrix such as matrix expressions or the solutions of matrix equations attain their extremal ranks, some algorithm and example are also given.
