报告题目    Operator splitting, wavefield propagation and complex structure imaging

Abstract: Complex structures have much close relationship with oil and gas reservoir. Identifying the reservoir through acoustic wave propagation is an important method in oil industry. For 3-D acoustic wave propagation, the 3-D wave operator is usually split along two directions in order to save computational cost, and the ADI scheme is the commonly used scheme. However, this may cause numerical anisotropy. Multil-direction splitting method is an effective method to overcome this anisotropy. In this talk, two algorithms for 3-D wavefield propagation will be discussed, and some numerical results are also given.
