报告题目 Computational Geometry and Geometric PDEs
Abstract: In this talk, I will propose to use geometric partial differential equations (PDEs) to solve several problems in computational geometry, such as surface smoothing and feature enhancement, surface blending, N-sided hole filling and free-form surface design etc. Numerical methods for solving the PDEs based on the discretization of the Laplace-Beltrami operator and subdivision finite-elements are outlined. Convergence of the discretized Laplace-Beltrami operators is discussed. Illustrative examples are presented.
