Parallel Computations of Wave Equation Prestack Depth Migration after Wavefiled Synthesizing

**Abstract:**
Wave equation prestack depth migration is an important imaging method for complexly geological structures. Here, prestack depth migration is completed after wavefield synthesizing. The basic ideal of wavefield synthesizing is Huygens principle. And its main advantage is that the data amount is reduced greatly. Thus, less computation cost can be expected. Computations for two benchmark models are completed. And the MPI parallel algorithms are used in all calculations. More calculations show that the method is effective and can be used as alternative prestack depth migration method.
