报告题目 Multi-Physical Modeling and Trans-Scale Computation
Abstract:
There are numerous multi-scale phenomena in materials science, life science and fluid dynamics. Generally speaking, these kinds of problems are extremely complicated. It is very difficult and impossible to describe accurately their natural characters by using one-scale modeling e.g. quantum mechanics and continuum mechanics.
Study on multi-physical modeling and trans-scale computation has become the frontiers of sciences related to mathematics, physics and biology and so forth. In this talk, I would like to introduce our recent work including
1. Physical and mechanical background on trans-scale computation;
2.Iterated two-scale modeling and algorithms for elasto-static problems in the fractal structures of composite materials;
3.Multi-physical modeling and trans-scale computation for heat transfer problems of composite media and their interfaces;
4.Problems and perspectives.
