Superconvergence of Spectral Collocation/p-version Methods in 1-D

报告摘要：

  Superconvergence phenomenon of the spectral collocation method and the p-version finite element method, is discussed under the most simple setting - one dimensional two point boundary value problems. For a class of analytic functons that satisfy condition $\|u^{(k})\|_{L^\infty}\le CM^k$, it is proved that the optimal convergence rate is supergeometric. Furthermore, at proper Gaussian points or Chebyshev points, the rate of convergence may gain one or two orders of the polynomial degree.
