Liapunov-Schmidt Reduction and Numerical Continuation for Nonlinear Schroedinger Equations
报告摘要:
We study Liapunov-Schmidt reduction for nonlinear Schroedinger equation s. We show that the bifurcations of the system are pitchfork. The pitchfork bifur cation can be supercaitical or subcritical denpending on the coefficients of the cubic terms we choose. A numerical continuation algorithm is exploited to trace s olution curves and surfaces of the associated nonlinear system of equations. The peak solutions we obtained resemble the experimental results of Anglin et al and Anderson et al.
