报告摘要：

  A new method to construct wavelet bases on irregular grids on the interval is proposed based on PFFS (pseudo frames for subspaces). The method yields biorthogonal bases in which the wavelets on both the primal and the dual side have a chosen number of vanishing moments and have local support. The fast wavelet transform on irregular grids are also given and it is combined with a threshold method to remove noise in 1D signal. Results of numerical experiments show that the newly constructed wavelets are well-conditioned and quite suitable to processing nonsmooth signals, while the widely used curve fitting based method always can’t preserve their information near sigualrities.
