Integrability is one of the most important properties in physical systems. In the last century, connections between random matrices, quantum field theory and classical integrable systems have been revealed. In this talk, I will briefly review some earlier references on unitary ensemble and KP hierarchy, and some known examples. Besides, I’ll talk about some of my works on random matrices and KP hierarchy of B-type and C-type.
