An introduction to performance analysis and modeling of parallel programs

With the progress of high performance computing technologies, parallel computers and programs have evolved rapidly and become more and more complicated. Learning and predicting the performance of parallel programs have becoming increasingly important to best utilize modern parallel computers. In this talk, I will give a brief introduction to the fundamental methods of performance analysis, the widely-used performance tools, and the development of performance modeling for parallel programs.
