Abstract:
In this paper, we will provide the the finite element method for the electro-osmotic flow in micro-channels, in which a convection-diffusion type equation is given for the charge density ρe. A time-discrete method based on the backward Euler method is designed. The theoretical analysis shows that the numerical algorithm is unconditionally stable and has optimal convergence rates. To show the effectiveness of the proposed model, some numerical results for the electro-osmotic flow in the T-junction micro-channels and in rough micro-channels are provided. Numerical results indicate that the proposed numerical method is suitable for simulating electro-osmotic flows. 

司智勇,男,中共党员,理学博士(后),副教授,硕士生导师。 2011年毕业于西安交通大学,获得理学博士,获得西安交通大学优秀毕业生和优秀毕业论文。2008年毕业于新疆大学,获理学硕士。2005年本科毕业于河南师范大学,数学与信息科学学院,获理学学士。2011年10月至今,在河南理工大学数信学院信息与计算科学系任教。2013年2月-2013年4月 香港城市大学访问学者。2015年3月到2016年3月受国家留学基金委的资助在美国匹兹堡大学访问。2022年2月到2022年12月北京大学访问学者。近年来在国际学术期刊,包括计算数学顶尖期刊SIAM Numer Anal 和Nmer Math,发表学术论文40余篇,主持国家自然科学基金3项,参与完成国家自然科学基金3项;主持河南省高等学校重点项目1项,中国博士后基金面上项目一等资助1项。
