The nonlinear Schrodinger (NLS)type equations are very important integrable equations. In this talk, we will give a brief review for NLS type equations including NLS equation, derivative NLS equation, Hirota equation, Sasa-Satsuma equation, and the generalized Sasa-Satsuma equation.
