Abstract:
We will report our recent work on weak multisymplectic spectral integrators for a wide range of nonsmooth Hamiltonian partial differential equations, which appear in quite a few physical applications described by various models with point defects. The emphasis is on multi-symplecticity, fundamental geometric properties and especially a removal of Gibbs phenomenon by using the Gottlieb-Shu strategies as well as some convergence analysis. And some basic results are illustrated and discussed by means of the delta-potential nonlinear Dirac equations.
