In this talk, we introduce a novel filtered variational integrator (FVI) for solving charged-particle dynamics under both normal and strong magnetic fields. For the normal magnetic field, the proposed FVI achieves second-order error bounds and long-term conservations of energy and momentum. For the strong magnetic field, by using modulated Fourier expansions (MFE), the second-order accuracy for a large stepsize and the long time energy and magnetic moment conservations are presented.
报告人简介: 王斌,西安交通大学教授、博士生导师,校青年拔尖支持计划,德国洪堡学者。博士毕业于南京大学,2011-2012年在英国剑桥大学联合培养博士,2017-2019年在德国图宾根大学从事博士后研究工作。在 Found. Comput. Math., SIAM 系列, Numer. Math., IMA J. Numer. Anal.等期刊发表多篇学术论文,主持国家自然科学基金,参与国家重点研发计划。
