      Abstract:
      A new weak Galerkin method called generalized weak Galerkin (gWG) method is introduced for fluid flow equations in this work. There is a new generalized definition for weak gradient which is the main novelty. Based on the generalized weak gradient, elements with arbitrary combination of polynomials are introduced for fluid flow equations. Error estimates of velocity and pressure are established for the corresponding gWG solutions. Several numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the stability, accuracy and theoretical convergence orders.
